Diesel Mechanic HelperThe Diesel Mechanic Helper Position is responsible for conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs on diesel trucks and heavy machinery. This overnight role is essential for ensuring that all equipment is thoroughly inspected, maintained, and fully operational for morning dispatch. Key Responsibilities:Check and replace engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and other vital fluidsConduct routine inspections of diesel trucks and heavy equipmentCarry out minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenanceDetect potential mechanical problems and inform management of major repairsKeep work areas clean and organizedGuarantee that all equipment is prepared and functional for morning dispatchQualifications:Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment is preferred.Capability to perform basic mechanical repairs independentlyUnderstanding of preventative maintenance practicesStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyPhysical Requirements:Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periodsExposure to outdoor weather conditions and shop environmentsClean and maintain the maintenance shop and wash baysMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and orderly conditionFollow all company safety policies and proceduresWorking Conditions:Working Hours - Sunday – Friday 6am -6pmWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly wages with full-time hoursComprehensive benefits package, including healthcare and retirement plans.Generous paid time off (PTO) program.A stable, supportive work environment within a reputable family-owned company.Dedication to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
