Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 18+ months of specialty experience for a teaching hospital's cath lab team, requiring ARRT certification.
Details
Interventional Radiology unit in a teaching hospital setting with 521 staffed beds
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
On-call requirements apply
May float within scope to Cath/EP areas and to sister facilities within 20 miles (Martin North, Martin South, Tradition)
Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
Minimum 18 months of experience in Interventional Radiology, 2 years preferred
ARRT certification required
State license required if applicable
AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
RCIS certification preferred
No pending licenses or certifications accepted at time of consideration
Experience with abdominal/pelvic and genitourinary angiography, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal, biopsies, and vascular closure systems
Skilled in equipment setup, room circulation, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
Competency caring for young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients
Additional Information
Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, aortography, chemoembolization, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, and uterine arterial embolization
Ceil blue scrub color required
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted at the same bill rate
Expected to work every other holiday
COVID-19 and flu vaccines required with medical/religious exemptions only
EKG and pharmacology testing required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation
All RTO must be discussed during interview and included at time of consideration
One professional reference from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty is required
Permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their previous end date before returning to this health system
