Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide expert pharmaceutical care within a behavioral health hospital setting, supporting a multidisciplinary team focused on acute care and behavioral health, including pediatrics and detox services. This per diem opportunity requires immediate start for approximately eight weeks to cover while the Director of Pharmacy is on leave.

Location:

• Chugiak, AK (Anchorage vicinity)

Schedule:

• Mondays, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM weekly
• Additional coverage August 3rd to 7th, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Potential weekday shifts as needed for staff coverage
• Possible on-call weekend coverage may arise

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order entry accurately in the HCS Web EMR system (onsite training provided)
• Conduct Omnicell dispensing checks using Citrix/OCRA Remote Desktop (training available)
• Monitor drug therapy to ensure safety and efficacy
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who manage drug distribution
• Adhere to business casual dress code

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Alaska pharmacist license required
• Experience in acute care or behavioral health pharmacy preferred
• Comfortable working independently in a small pharmacy team environment
• Ability to learn and adapt to specific hospital order entry and automation systems
