The business has grown significantly, and they need a Quality Manager who can lead the quality function, build a strong team, and put systems in place that scale with that growth.This is a leadership role with real ownership. You will lead a team of 4 to 8 quality engineers and inspectors, own the quality management system, and serve as the primary quality contact for customers and suppliers. A near-term priority is stabilizing and strengthening the quality system ahead of an upcoming IATF 16949 audit.What you will doLead, develop, and grow a team of quality engineers and inspectorsOwn the quality management system to IATF 16949Own PPAP and APQP for new and existing productsDrive root cause and corrective action using 8D, 5 Why, and FishboneManage SPC and quality metrics including scrap, rework, and PPMManage supplier quality and supplier performanceServe as the primary customer and supplier quality contact, with regular calls and Teams meetingsLead internal and external audits, MRB, and quality trainingWhat we are looking forMachining background or IATF 16949 experience (both is ideal)5 to 7+ years of quality management experience in a machining or automotive manufacturing environmentProven experience managing people and building a teamProven experience managing customer and supplier quality relationshipsStrong working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and SPCBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)PreferredASQ CQE or Six Sigma certificationSupplier quality management experienceMSA and DOE experienceISO 14001 knowledgeExperience with CMMs and precision measurementTravelLimited travel to customer or supplier sites as needed. xhyhwjd Compensation and benefits$90,000 to $130,000 base salary, depending on experience20% annual bonus target with a strong payout historyFull benefits packageRelocation negotiable for the right candidate; local candidates preferredWhy this roleThis is a chance to lead quality at a growing manufacturer, build the team the way you think it should be built, and have a direct impact on the business.
