About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, R&D for Global Snacking. This executive will be responsible for leading the enterprise's global snacking product development and stewardship, translating growth ambitions into a consumer-led innovation agenda, and ensuring the successful execution of this agenda across regions and channels. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in R&D, innovation, and product stewardship within the consumer-packaged goods, food, or snacking categories, particularly in the areas of frozen and ready-to-eat products, coatings, and frying and baking technologies. The successful candidate will be tasked with defining and leading the global R&D strategy, owning the innovation portfolio, and driving speed to market through agile and test-and-learn approaches. Deep cross-functional partnership is essential to drive sustainable P&L performance, technical brand stewardship, and superior consumer experiences. Candidates for the Vice President, R&D role at the company should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with an MBA or advanced business training preferred. A minimum of 15 years' of leadership experience in R&D, innovation, or product stewardship, including senior global roles, is required. The role also demands strong business acumen, the ability to balance growth, margin, risk, and long-term capability building, and a proven ability to manage large, multicultural organizations and significant R&D budgets. The ideal candidate will have a background in dairy and/or cheese, and possess deep expertise in snacking product development. Key competencies include strategic agility, collaboration, influence, innovation leadership, and a strong focus on people and capability development. The role requires a leader with executive presence, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of global regulatory, food safety, and nutrition landscapes.
