Ramp Duty Manager, Air Canada

The Air Canada Duty Manager is responsible for proactively monitoring the work of assigned staff and ensures that safety policies and security measures are always maintained. Duty Managers promote customer satisfaction for Air Canada and maintain quality standards. The Air Canada Duty Manager maintains superior employee relations while directing and coordinating baggage, cargo, and ramp operations. Responsibilities Accomplish department objectives by planning, managing staff and evaluating outcomes Ensure a safe and secure work environment Promote company policies and standards Serve as the primary liaison for ramp operations between Air Canada and IHS Responsible for care and operation of all company equipment and property Be a key contributor to the company safety program Full responsibility for delivering effective ramp operation solutions to Air Canada Complete all reports required for ramp and aircraft servicing Provide support to front line employees Lead, motivate and manage staff to deliver on the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with Air Canada Resolve service issues in a timely manner with tact and diplomacy Responsible for proactively managing safety, security processes and procedures Create and maintain a positive culture by managing the performance and development of employees Build and maintain relationships with key Air Canada stakeholders Understand contract requirements and Air Canada expectations Provide employee performance improvement plans and discipline as needed Monitor and/or conduct required training of personnel The Duty Manager may be assigned additional duties Qualifications 3 to 5 years management experience College Degree preferred Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check Excellent leadership, customer service skills and strong work ethic Must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items of 70 pounds and/or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces Extensive airport operational experience Ability to work under pressure Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts, holidays Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Subject to non-DOT drug and/or alcohol testing Valid Driver’s License Paid Time Off Profit Sharing Free Parking 401k Life Insurance Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage, HSA Employee Assistance Program Travel benefits when requested and approved #J-18808-Ljbffr MSP Airport
