General Liability Attorney (Mid-Level)

Title: General Liability Attorney

Location: Chicago - Hybrid Schedule (2 days in office, 3 remote)

Compensation: $115K-$140K (DOE) + Bonus Potential (Origination, Hours - Avg. $10K-$15K+)

Who We Are: Founded in 2001, we are a mid-sized, full-service firm focused on providing excellent service to our clients. We are looking to add a General Liability Attorney to our Chicago office as we continue to grow the firm. 

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated General Liability Attorney to join our firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in defending clients against personal injury claims and general liability cases. This position involves representing clients in court, providing legal advice, and developing defense strategies to protect our clients' interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in litigation and court proceedings related to general liability and personal injury claims.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Develop and implement defense strategies for clients facing liability claims.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding liability issues and potential risks.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensure in Illinois required; licensure in Indiana/Wisconsin is a huge plus!
• 3+ years of experience in IL Defense work
• Familiarity with billing requirements
• Strong understanding of liability law and related legal procedures.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

$115000 - $140000 USD per year
