Billing Clerk

Summary This role will prepare and issue accurate invoices, maintain billing records, and support timely payment collection. The position works closely with customers and internal teams to resolve billing questions, correct discrepancies, and help ensure the company’s revenue is recorded accurately and collected on schedule. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the Tuscaloosa office and 2 days remote. Key Responsibilities Batch billing review, process daily batches, and create invoices. Enter customer data into accounting or ERP systems and maintain organized billing records. Verify invoice details, pricing, tax, and customer information for accuracy. Respond to customer billing questions and resolve discrepancies in coordination with sales, customer service, or operations teams. Process credits, adjustments, and account updates as needed. Reconcile billing activity and assist with month‑end reporting and account reviews. Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounting, or a related administrative role preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or billing software. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders. Basic understanding of invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
