Registered Nurse – ER

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including triage, assessment, and monitoring of acutely ill or injured patients
- Administer medications, perform basic procedures, and initiate emergency interventions per established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- Monitor vital signs, interpret clinical data, and escalate care as indicated
- Maintain patient safety, uphold infection control standards, and support patient and family education
- May float to related units as needed; ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care

Requirements
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse license
- American Heart Association ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and adapt to a travel assignment
- Willingness to float between facilities as needed and to call off up to 3 shifts per contract
- Proficiency with common ED protocols, medications, and resuscitation procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and to maintain composure under pressure
