VoIP Systems Technician

Salary: $125,000 - 165,000 per year Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience supporting VOIP or Unified Communications systems.
• Associate degree in IT, Telecommunications, Networking, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in an MSP, telecommunications provider, or other customer-facing technical support setting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SIP, RTP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on VOIP experience with Teams Phone, RingCentral, Zoom Phone, 8x8, Mitel, Cisco, or Avaya.
• Familiarity with network diagnostics tools and packet analysis.
• Experience with PSA or ticketing platforms such as ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service abilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced MSP environment.
• Preferred certifications include CCNP and CompTIA VoIP Certification.

• Deliver Tier I and Tier II support across hosted, cloud, and on-premise VOIP environments.
• Diagnose call quality problems such as latency, jitter, packet loss, and one-way audio.
• Configure VOIP platforms, SIP, PBX systems, Teams Phone, call queues, and auto attendants.
• Handle client requests through our MSP ticketing system while meeting established SLAs.
• Carry out moves, adds, changes, and deletions for client phone systems.
• Support VOIP deployments, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding initiatives.
• Coordinate with carriers, ISPs, vendors, and network engineers to resolve service disruptions.
• Monitor alerts, identify service-impacting issues, and guide clients on system features.
• Document troubleshooting steps, configurations, network diagrams, and client environments.
• Take part in an on-call rotation as needed.

We are seeking a VOIP Systems Tech based in Terre Haute, IN to support, troubleshoot, and maintain VOIP and Unified Communications systems for multiple managed services clients. You will work remotely and onsite as needed, partnering directly with clients, carriers, vendors, and engineering teams to resolve voice and network issues and support deployments and migrations.
