About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of School to lead its independent educational institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing overall leadership in the academic program, culture, faculty, finances, and community. This role requires a visionary leader who can articulate a clear and inclusive mission, particularly one that integrates equity and belonging into the educational pedagogy. The Head of School will be tasked with defining and enacting a coherent, inclusive identity that aligns with the school's values and the diverse needs of its community. Strengthening financial sustainability, governance, and strategic growth is also a key focus, as is building a strong faculty culture and fostering a sense of belonging and outreach within the school and the surrounding community. Professional experience in school leadership, a strong financial acumen, and a sophisticated understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational settings are essential. While not mandatory, a background in Waldorf education or a deep enthusiasm for its principles is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be a deep listener, a committed bridge builder, and a visible, present leader who can navigate the complexities of the role with steadiness and resilience. They should be adept at establishing clear structures and accountability while maintaining a warm, relational culture. The Head of School will be expected to be an excellent communicator, both internally and externally, and to model a balanced approach to work and life.
