Role Description Prenax is looking to rapidly grow its business in the US, and Canada. We are looking for a Finance Manager with the right mix of experience and qualifications to join our growing team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance team and overseeing the finance operations and administration from the get-go whilst also playing a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of the business through accurate financial data analysis and reporting, by supporting strategic decision-making, and by maintaining strong internal controls. The role is full-time and office-based. Maintain a strong internal control environment, including policies, procedures, and segregation of duties. Ensure balance sheet integrity through regular reconciliations and reviews. Preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / GAAP). Manage the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting close process. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis Develop financial models and performance dashboards to support management decisions. Provide variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance. Partner with operational leaders to improve cost control, margins, and profitability. Assist with the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity. Manage banking relationships, facilities, and covenant compliance. Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and credit control processes. Compliance, Audit & Risk Assist with external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors. Oversee tax filings in collaboration with advisors. Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development. Implement efficient workflows, systems, and automation to improve productivity. Systems & Process Improvement Improve financial systems, controls, and reporting tools. Drive process standardization and operational efficiencies. Support business growth, integrations, or system implementations as required. Strategic Support Support strategic initiatives, investment appraisals, and business cases. Contribute to long‑term financial planning and organizational strategy. Key Relationships Direct Report: President Internal: Executive Team, Operational Managers Skills, Qualifications & Experience 5-10+ years’ experience in finance leadership. Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems. Experience in a small-to-medium-sized or high‑growth organization. Exposure to ERP implementations or finance transformation projects. Prior people‑management or team‑leadership experience. Strong commercial acumen and analytical mindset. High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders. Proactive, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented approach. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Performance Measures Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Strength and effectiveness of financial controls.
