Salary $5,237.00 - $6,550.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Overview The Policy Division, Licensing Policy Branch, General License Automation & Development Unit seeks a team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. The incumbent will serve as a business area liaison to the Information Systems Division (ISD) and will be responsible for business rule program logic related to the automated processing of general and commercial Driver Licensing (DL), Identification (ID) cards, Occupational Licensing (OL), Driver Safety (DS), Data Security, DMV web services, and other related functions. Responsibilities Coordinate with ISD and users regarding data storage requirements, program logic charts, and system design. Conduct user acceptance testing and analyze and resolve production problems affecting operational units. Support projects from inception through implementation. Serve as liaison between business area and ISD to ensure alignment of automated processes. Qualifications Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience in business rule development and program logic for automated systems. Knowledge of driver licensing, identification, and occupational licensing processes. Ability to perform user acceptance testing and troubleshoot production issues. Preferred: Experience with DMV web services and data security. Minimum Requirements Manager I, Department of Motor Vehicles classification. Must be California resident eligible to work in the United States. Must hold a valid California Driver's License and provide details during application. Background Investigation clearance required. New to State candidates must meet minimum salary criteria. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance required before hire. Relocation expenses not reimbursed. Eligible for SROA/Surplus candidates encouraged; Training & Development assignment may be considered. Working Conditions Part-time telework available; telework requires California residency. Hybrid telework opportunities subject to change based on operational needs. Office setting under artificial light; basic office equipment (computer, printers, copiers, fax machine, telephone). Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
