Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

The Registered Nurse (RN) will maintain the delivery of quality care by assuring that the nursing care plan is effectively followed. This position requires the RN to supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, promoting patient and employee safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in weekly team conferences to provide patient information and status updates.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record.
• Engage in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process to prioritize patient education based on identified healthcare needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to all relevant care providers to support continuity of care.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding supplies, equipment needs, and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested and proactively pursue professional growth through education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (for CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is for the night shift, following a 3x12.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
