Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state of Michigan
• Experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in a school setting
• Solid understanding of IEP documentation and case management
• Strong communication skills to interact with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs
• Collaborative, flexible, and eager to contribute to a supportive educational atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional skills and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students, helping them achieve IEP goals
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ day-to-day success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights for goal setting
• Maintain clear and timely records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Educate staff on best practices for supporting students’ occupational needs
• Adapt equipment or classroom environments when needed to maximize student participation
