Senior Director, Data Operations & Enablement

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director to lead commercial data operations, managing end-to-end data integration, quality, and governance across the organization. This leadership role oversees a multidisciplinary team, ensures data reliability and compliance, and scales the data infrastructure as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability, SLAs, monitoring, and incident management for commercial data delivery across all functions
• Integrate specialty pharmacy, claims, distributor, syndicated, CRM, formulary, and contract data into governed assets
• Establish and maintain modern cloud data architecture using medallion/lake house patterns for scalability
• Build and enforce enterprise-grade data quality frameworks, validation, reconciliation, and root-cause remediation
• Lead master data management across customer, HCP, product, payer, and territory domains with identity resolution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or quantitative field; advanced degree preferred
• 15+ years in data operations, data engineering, or commercial data within pharma/biotech
• Proven experience leading and scaling multidisciplinary data teams
• Hands-on expertise with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) and modern ETL/ELT
• Deep knowledge of pharma commercial data sources (specialty pharmacy, claims, syndicated, CRM, formulary)
• Demonstrated ownership of data integration, quality frameworks, and master data management in production
• Experience with BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and enabling governed self-service analytics
