Tax Accountant

A growing professional services firm in Richland is seeking an experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join its leadership team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services for individuals, business owners, and high-net-worth clients.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns, including individual, partnership, corporate, and fiduciary returns.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities through financial analysis, entity structuring, retirement planning strategies, and overall tax optimization.
• Monitor changes in federal and state tax regulations and communicate relevant impacts to clients and internal team members.
• Represent clients before taxing authorities during audits, inquiries, and correspondence as needed.
• Collaborate with internal and external professionals to develop comprehensive financial and tax strategies.
• Mentor and support developing tax professionals within the organization.
• Contribute to business development initiatives, client retention efforts, and firm leadership activities.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience, preferably within public accounting, tax advisory, or consulting environments.
• Strong knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust taxation.
• Experience providing tax planning and advisory services for complex client situations.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Self-motivated professional with leadership potential and a client-focused approach.

• SALARY RANGE: $85,000-$115,000
