Apply now and you can join some of the best technical people in the world and work on projects you can be proud of!Your Key ResponsibilitiesYou Manage a team of design professionals and techniciansYou mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teamsYou perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships. Routine tasks include: - Participate in business line teams to manage and develop proposalsClient facing business development contact, meetings, walk-downs, and presentationsScope of work documents and estimatesCollaboration with multiple business lines to develop opportunitiesYou assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.Engineering reportsFeasibility studiesPresentations to clients, regulatory agencies and/or project stakeholdersQuality reviewsYou assist with the management of the design and construction of projects.You develop project management plans for projects; establishes goals and objectives for unique and complex projects.You are responsible for successfully establishing projects to achieve budget, schedule, and contractual obligations.You conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects and facilitate independent technical review projects by others.You are involved in the permitting process of projects, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, interested stakeholder parties, reviewing agency personnel.You are accountable for making decisions on large projects. You coordinate with the regulatory review to seek final approval.You manage projects of varying complexity within multidisciplinary teamsYou research and understand issues related to regulatory and other drivers that impact individual projectsYou assist business leaders in project revenue forecasting.You oversee proposals including development of the scope and level of effort of comparable size.You undertake decisions and recommendations governed by general policy and project management governance.You supervise local staff and are responsible for providing mentoring and coaching for future leaders, including the development of succession plans for key positions.Your Capabilities and CredentialsYou inspire project teams to higher levels of achievement.You consistently engage employees in discussions on job satisfaction and engagement and provide ongoing recognition and feedback to employees and teams.Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.Education and ExperienceMinimum of bachelor’s degree in engineeringMinimum of 15 years’ related experience in project management for water-related projects with minimum of 10 years’ experience in NC.Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in NC.Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, project, and office; strategy development; change management; and corporate stewardship.Travel to other offices as well as to project sites may be required.Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other's talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
