Industrial Automation Technician
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL (Onsite) Schedule: 3 Day / 4 Day Rotation (GET YOUR SCHEDULE A YEAR IN ADVANCE) | 2nd Shift | 6:00 PM-6:00 AM Pay: $28-$40/hour DOE + OT Available Type: Full-Time (DIRECT HIRE) Love troubleshooting? Keep production running with a global manufacturing leader. We're seeking an experienced Industrial Automation Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain advanced automated manufacturing equipment in a high-volume production environment.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair automated equipment and production systems.
- Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery.
- Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Partner with Engineering on equipment improvements and installations.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with PLC-controlled systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology education or equivalent experience.
