Facilities Coordinator

Overview A manufacturer located in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area is seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting construction projects, facility maintenance activities, and daily site operations while coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities maintenance, construction coordination, or industrial operations with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Pay Range Pay Range: $27 - $35/hour Responsibilities Coordinate construction, maintenance, and facility improvement projects with contractors, engineers, project managers, and internal departments. Support contractor activities including safety orientations, work scheduling, utility locating, fire system monitoring, and issue resolution. Coordinate preventive maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, inspections, and facility service requests. Monitor site infrastructure including landscaping, snow removal, drainage systems, and erosion control activities. Manage waste management, recycling, surplus material disposal, and contracted waste removal services. Coordinate maintenance activities for facility vehicles, cranes, heavy equipment, and other site assets. Support material handling, logistics, access control, equipment installations, and facility improvement initiatives. Assist with special projects involving utilities, piping, rigging, grading, sheet metal work, and other operational needs. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards. Collaborate with contractors, vendors, maintenance teams, and internal departments to minimize operational disruptions. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training, trade school, or associate degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering technology, or a related field preferred. 1-3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction coordination, industrial operations, or project support. Experience working with contractors, maintenance vendors, and cross-functional teams. Knowledge of construction practices, facility maintenance, and contractor coordination. Understanding of industrial safety requirements and contractor safety programs. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and maintenance documentation. Working knowledge of site infrastructure, waste management, and equipment maintenance. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with contractors and internal teams.
