Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 8 Weeks ((With high possibility of extension or permanent placement))
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Rotating 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 36 Hours Per Week

Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $2850.00 - $2950.00 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $3500.00 - $3600.00 Weekly

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a MRI Technologist for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI procedures, verify screening forms, and address patient questions and concerns.

• Position patients accurately and utilize appropriate coils and imaging parameters to optimize image quality.

• Administer contrast media as directed by the radiologist in accordance with certification requirements.

• Operate advanced MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

• Monitor and maintain MRI equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Coordinate patient care and workflow throughout the imaging process.

• Maintain accurate documentation within EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems.

• Adhere to all MRI safety standards and magnetic environment protocols.

• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and quality requirements.

• Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.

• New York State (NYS) License in Radiography.

• NYS certification to inject contrast media.

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR).

• Must maintain continuing education credits per ARRT requirements.

• Minimum 1 year of Diagnostic Imaging experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on MRI experience preferred.

• Experience working with EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems.

• Strong patient care and communication skills.
