Musician for AI Music Evaluation

Evaluate AI-generated music and lyrics across a wide range of genres for a project run in partnership with a leading AI lab. You will listen critically, compare generated lyrics to published songs, and score outputs against detailed quality and originality standards.

• Compare AI-generated lyrics with published songs to identify similarities and potential overlap.
• Rate lyrics on quality, creativity, adherence to prompts, and originality, using provided rubrics.
• Assess whether lyrics sound natural for the target dialect, considering word choice, slang, and regional expressions.
• Work across diverse genres and sub-genres, applying consistent evaluation criteria.

• Practical experience as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
• Nice to have, but not required: formal training in music performance, theory, or composition, credited or published songwriting work, and broad familiarity with contemporary genres, sub-genres, and artists.

• Location: Remote.
• Employment type: Hourly.
• Start date: Immediate.
• Duration: Up to 6 months.
• Commitment: Flexible. Most experts work around 20 hours per week, there is no cap on hours.

• Pay range: 23 to 54 hourly.
