Senior Accountant

Overview Manufacturing | Private Equity Owned | High Visibility Role 2 Days a week in the office Legacy Search has partnered with a rapidly growing, private equity owned manufacturing company that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional looking to step into a true “right hand to the CFO” position with meaningful exposure to leadership, operations, and strategic initiatives About the Opportunity This firm is thriving, and doing so well it has become a long term hold for its PE Ownership. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in strengthening the month-end close process, improving internal controls, and supporting financial reporting for both internal leadership and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Partner closely with the CFO on financial reporting, analysis, and presentation materials Support private equity reporting requirements, lender reporting, and audit processes Assist in cash management, budgeting/forecasting, and variance analysis Evaluate and enhance internal controls and accounting processes Collaborate cross-functionally with operations to understand cost drivers and inventory Contribute to system and process improvements as the company scales Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred 4–8+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing or inventory experience highly preferred) Background in public accounting and/or PE-backed / mid-market environment is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and intercompany accounting. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high level of ownership Why This Role?
