Our client, a leading innovator in the beauty and cosmetics industry, is seeking a Product Development Admin III to join their dynamic team. As a Product Development Admin III, you will be an integral part of the Product Development department supporting the Lip Category team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a deep passion for makeup artistry and texture innovation, and a keen eye for color theory and emerging beauty trends, which will enable you to thrive in this creative environment. Job Title: Product Development Admin III Location: El Segundo, CA What's the Job? Assist in drafting comprehensive technical and creative product development briefs for laboratories, detailing performance expectations, benchmark standards, shade direction, and aesthetic criteria. Critically assess submission samples from internal and external laboratories, evaluating texture, payoff, wear-time, application, scent, and overall performance. Direct labs on shade modifications, undertones, and color matching across diverse skin tones to ensure ultimate inclusivity. Keep track of all formula iterations, maintaining organized feedback logs and managing standard-setting controls for approved formulas. Organize internal testing panels to gather peer feedback on formula comfort, texture preference, and ease of application. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetology, Marketing, Business, or a related scientific/creative discipline. 2 to 4 years of cosmetic product development experience, ideally focusing on color cosmetics, with direct experience in the lip category being a major plus. Excellent visual color perception and the ability to articulate sensory texture characteristics such as slip, drag, cushion, and tackiness. Deep knowledge of and interest in the beauty industry, pop culture, social media beauty trends (TikTok, Instagram), and professional makeup artistry. High comfort level working in a fast-paced, agile environment where timelines are condensed and priorities shift quickly. What's in it for me?
