Job Title: Civil Litigation Attorney

Location: Portland, OR (Onsite; hybrid flexibility available after initial onboarding period)

Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 annually (Contract-to-hire equivalent up to ~$72/hr) + bonus

About the Opportunity

LHH is working with a collaborative, client-focused law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing team in Portland, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of litigation matters involving real estate disputes, title litigation, professional liability (including attorney defense), and complex commercial disputes .

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys hands-on litigation work , values a supportive team environment , and is looking for balance with a lower-than-market billable expectation .

Work Environment

• First 60 days onsite for onboarding and training
• Hybrid schedule available thereafter ( up to 2 remote days per week )
• Highly collaborative team environment, working closely with experienced litigation attorneys
• Strong emphasis on mentorship and professional development

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and support larger, complex litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and oversee discovery processes
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials (with opportunities to lead)
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and client service
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver high-quality legal work

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Experience with business disputes, real estate litigation, or commercial litigation strongly preferred
• Background may include a mix of litigation types; however:
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to client service and professional growth

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $130,000–$150,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications
• Contract-to-hire hourly equivalent up to ~$72/hour , where applicable
• Bonus structure: Typically $5,000–$15,000+ annually based on billable performance
• Billable requirement: ~1400 hours (well below market average) with bonus eligibility above threshold
