Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide administrative and clinical support in a high-volume outpatient clinic setting. Offer patient triage, processing of procedure orders, and coordination with pharmacy and insurance providers to ensure smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient check-in and triage to assess immediate needs and prioritize care.
• Process procedure orders accurately and relay results to physicians and patients.
• Send prescriptions to pharmacies and obtain prior authorization from insurance providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure efficient operation of daily clinic activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions and clinical transactions.
• Support physicians with clerical tasks as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in high-volume settings.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and provider interactions.
• Credentialing or certification as a healthcare administrative professional preferred.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare software systems.
