Veterinary Medical Center of Woodland Hills is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Woodland Hills, California. Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team.

Veterinary Medical Center of Woodland Hills aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician (License Required)

• 2+ years of veterinary experience
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Knowledge of common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital setting
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
• Assisting the doctor and other technical staff with surgeries
• Blood draws (cephalic and jugular)
• Placing IV catheters
• Digital radiology, including positioning.
• Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)
• Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
• Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology, HM5, Vetscan, Sedivue
• Excellent client communication/education
• Passion for working with animals and their owners

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• A degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment
