Electronic Billing Specialist (Legal) - PART TIME

Lindabury is currently hiring a PART TIME (15 hours per week, on site) Electronic Billing Specialist. The Electronic Billing Specialist will carry out all phases of legal billing utilizing various electronic platforms. They are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and uploading invoices to platforms, troubleshooting submission errors, and resolving billing discrepancies to accelerate revenue collection while ensuring compliance with client‑specific guidelines. 3 days per week ON SITE in our New Providence, NJ office during regular business hours. 5 Hours per day. When applying, please note that you are willing and able to meet this expectation. THIS ROLE IS NOT REMOTE. Please only apply if you're interested in working on site in our office part time. Prepare, transmit and ensure successful submission of e‑bill(s); work with clients to resolve any rejection issues; monitor and report on status when necessary. Follow compliance standards by assuring all invoices fall within complex client guidelines and fee agreements. Ensure compliance with firm and client policy and procedure and follow Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standards (LEDES) formats. Provide direct client and vendor communication by interfacing clients, attorneys and staff to resolve invoice inquiries. Monitor payment status and manage collections. Process complex electronic legal billing with exceptional accuracy while efficiently utilizing a high level of organizational skills and process expertise. Comprehend and follow through with instructions, as well as ask well thought out questions when clarity is needed. Effectively interact and communicate with clients, vendors, attorneys, paralegals and administrative team members within the firm to provide solution‑oriented customer service experience. Utilize accounting software and billing programs as well as MS Office Suite, Orion, Tymetrix, Legal Exchange, and other billing platforms. Assists with other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Required Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), iManage, billing software such as Orion and other applicable legal applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of legal and finance related language and principles, as well as accounting methodologies. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate related area is preferred but not required. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. Previous experience as an electronic billing specialist required. Experience in a law firm is desired.
