Accountant

Overview Position Summary This position supports accounting and administrative functions at the Covington, OH office. The role focuses on timely monthly closing support, coordination with external accounting firms, and reporting to the Japan headquarters in Japanese. Responsibilities Support monthly closing (journal entries, reconciliations) Prepare and organize documents for external accounting firms Process payroll entries, benefits-related accounting, and bank reconciliations Manage AP/AR, invoicing, and payment processing (domestic/international) Maintain fixed assets and revenue records Prepare monthly financial reports and support reporting to HQ in Japan (Japanese required) Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecast, and ad hoc analysis Coordinate across departments and support audits Provide translation and interpretation (Japanese/English) during meetings Support administrative tasks (purchasing, documentation, office coordination) Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience (Staff Accountant level or above) Basic knowledge of US GAAP Experience with AP/AR, GL, and reconciliation Business-level Japanese and English (written and spoken) Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines Preferred Requirements Experience in Quickbooks is a plus. Experience working with external accounting firms Payroll processing experience Salary $60,000-$85,000 Benefits Health, dental, vision insurance. PTO and holidays Location Covington, Ohio (On-site)
