Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVOR RN to assist in scrub and circulating roles within the surgical department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility across multiple specialties, including ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Circulate anesthesia, surgical instruments, and supplies during operative procedures.
  
  
• 
  Scrub for CVOR procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  
  
• 
  Manage emergency situations and respond efficiently to intraoperative needs.
  
  
• 
  Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and patient status.
  
  
• 
  Provide coverage across various shifts, including rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call duty.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid and active RN license, with a copy of NURSYS verification.
  
  
• 
  Possess 4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience, with proficiency in circulating and scrubbing roles.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate experience performing independently in ortho, spine, and neuro surgeries.
  
  
• 
  Be versatile in handling multiple specialties and adaptable to different shift schedules.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications in CPR and relevant surgical-specific competencies.
  
  
• 
  Be eligible to apply for a Connecticut RN license within 24 hours of start date.
