Certified Surgical Tech, L&D Nights - $20k Bonus

Job Summary The Certified Surgical Technologist is an unlicensed member of the surgical team who scrubs and/or assists during surgical procedures. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the technologist provides direct and indirect patient care for patients of all ages, assisting in the preparation of the patient and the environment for surgical procedures. It is the technologist’s responsibility to know the surgeon’s routine and preferences. Position Shift Full Time | Nights 7p-7a Call Requirement Additional details to be discussed during interview process. Sign on Bonus Full‑time position offers a $20,000 (taxable) bonus to be paid over 2 years. Bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC within the past 12 months. Relocation Bonus Eligible new hires may receive up to $10,000 (taxable) in relocation assistance, based on mileage, payable within 45 days of hire. Must relocate from more than 100 miles to be eligible. Bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC within the past 12 months. Qualifications Graduate of an approved specific discipline OR successful completion of a surgical technologist training program while serving in any branch of the United States armed forces. Less than 1 year of relevant work experience. Certification from one of the listed issuers: NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS‑C (unless the applicant graduated from an armed forces training program, in which case certification is not required). Core Accountabilities Performs routine tasks that may impact team performance with occasional guidance. Utilizes discretion and research to solve routine problems. Applies knowledge of standards, established processes and procedures that apply to the job. Provides guidance to entry‑level co‑workers.
