Senior Platform Engineer

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Platform Engineer for a rapidly growing, venture-backed technology organization building innovative, enterprise-scale software solutions. This is an onsite opportunity in Manhattan, NYC.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure in a multi-cloud environment. The Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to support modern application development, data systems, and AI-driven services. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and operate scalable multi-cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise SaaS and AI workloads
• Build and manage containerized systems and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, consistency, and reliability
• Implement observability practices including monitoring, logging, and alerting to maintain high availability
• Partner with engineering teams to optimize performance across APIs, data pipelines, and AI inference systems
• Champion security, compliance, and reliability best practices across infrastructure and operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering within SaaS environments
• Proven experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure and AI-driven applications (required)
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
• Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Experience working across cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (multi-cloud preferred)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo) and building scalable deployment pipelines
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog (APM, logging, alerting, SLOs), along with proficiency in Python, Go, or similar programming languages

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position offers a competitive compensation package that includes base salary ($170-235k/yr) DOE, as well as performance incentives, and equity potential.
