About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead business development, customer service, and operational functions for a local community bank branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in branch management and a proven track record in deposit gathering.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all branch operations, including service and sales activities, ensuring growth and profitability.
- Develop and implement local sales and marketing plans to drive business development.
- Maintain and expand customer relationships through proactive outreach and cross-selling of banking products.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies (e.g., BSA, CRA).
- Manage branch budgets and control expenses.
- Engage in community activities to promote the bank's presence and reputation.
- Lead, train, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance goals.
- Stay current on all banking products and services to support staff development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in banking, with at least 5 years in branch management at a commercial/community bank.
- Strong focus on deposit gathering; lending experience in commercial real estate, construction loans, and business lines of credit is a plus.
- Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of branch operations, risk management, and customer service.
- Proven business development and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin/Cantonese required.
