Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred
• Four-year state-certified mold-making apprenticeship preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience maintaining multi-cavity, close-tolerance molds
• Experience troubleshooting mold and tooling issues in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and SolidWorks designs

Job Duties

• Clean, maintain, repair, and change over production molds
• Troubleshoot mold and tooling issues and determine root causes of quality concerns
• Perform corrective repairs to return molds to production
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain accurate repair, maintenance, and production records
• Assist with mold setup, machine operation, and production support activities
• Perform material handling, reel changes, and basic housekeeping tasks
• Use hand tools, measuring instruments, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment
• Collaborate with technicians and production teams to support manufacturing operations
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Mold Maintenance Technician.
• Capable of interpreting blueprints, CAD, and SolidWorks.
• Possess a thorough understanding of mold manufacturing concepts.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.

What You Will Do


As a Mold Maintenance Technician you will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, replace worn components, document completed work, and work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime while maintaining quality and safety standards.
