OnTrac is a leading provider of same‑day and next‑day delivery services in the U.S. Location: 802 E Centre Park Blvd, DeSoto, TX 75115. The position is performed onsite at an operational facility. Shift(s): Sunday – Wednesday, 2:30 pm – 1:00 am (Hours subject to change.) Compensation: Starting base pay range $54,400 – $68,000. Potential total salary range $54,400 – $81,600. Employment Logistics: As Area Manager, report to the General Manager. Provide strategic leadership, oversee day‑to‑day operations, manage personnel, and sustain a positive work culture within the warehouse. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of industry experience (logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience Ability to evaluate, summarize data, and present findings Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and mathematical skills Effective communication skills, including giving honest, constructive feedback Experience with hiring, training, motivation, disciplining, and performance evaluations Basic English proficiency (spoken and written) for safety and operational instructions Work Environment / Physical Requirements Regularly talk or listen Frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle items Require clear vision, depth perception, and ability to focus for safety and operational tasks Your Mission in Motion Manage, staff, and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify improvement areas, and address performance/attendance issues Conduct pre‑sort meetings to inform employees of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities Record departure and arrival times of designated line‑hauls and track trailer percentages throughout the sort span, finalizing on outbound paperwork Manage the flow of volume from inbound to outbound for on‑time line‑haul departures Execute administrative duties, including safety training, operational audits, and end‑of‑shift reporting Prerequisites for Success Learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions Apply mechanical work experience to maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks Apply OSHA knowledge to daily work practices Maintain a flexible schedule to support 24‑hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays Remain dependable and adaptable to changing business needs and workloads Equal Opportunity Employer OnTrac is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
