Receptionist

Responsibilities Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring a Receptionist for our Intake Department. The front‑desk team provides a welcoming first impression for patients, families, and visitors and serves as the first point of contact for the hospital. Greet and check in patients, families, and visitors for intake and admissions. Answer and route incoming calls related to admissions and inquiries. Assist with intake documentation and ensure accuracy of patient information. Verify basic patient information and assist with registration processes. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor and maintain a professional, welcoming reception area. Provide general information about services and admission procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous receptionist, admissions, or healthcare administrative experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills, especially in sensitive situations. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Basic computer proficiency (EHR systems and Microsoft Office preferred). Professional, calm, and compassionate demeanor. Experience in behavioral health or hospital setting is a plus. Ability to work Monday‑Friday with one of the following shifts: 8:00 am‑4:30 pm or 12:00 pm‑8:30 pm. This will be a total of 40 hours per week.
