Job Summary:
This Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located in Richmond, Virginia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves working in a newly opened unit with 33 private rooms and two open bays, focusing on neonates in a level 3 NICU or higher. The candidate must possess specialized skills in neonatal phlebotomy and mechanical ventilation, including high frequency ventilators.

Job Details:

• Location: Richmond, Virginia
• Specialization: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, working from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), JTC Neonatal Certification; experience in a level 3 NICU or greater; minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical ventilation including high frequency ventilators (Jet or Oscillator); neonatal phlebotomy skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neonatal surgical recovery is a plus.
• Additional Information: The unit opened on October 3, 2017, and features advanced ventilation equipment, with a staffing model including 24-hour unit secretary coverage and 24-hour medical doctor coverage.
• Certification Requirements: CPR, NRP, JTC Neonatal Certification.
