Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function
• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications when needed
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and professional practice guidelines

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Speech Language Pathologist license in North Carolina
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Speech Language Pathology experience
• Current BLS Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
