(USA) Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Position Summary Responsibly oversee the safety and performance of the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor and service bays, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and company standards while providing exceptional member service. What you’ll do Maintain facility and sales floor safety by conducting regular safety sweeps, adhering to forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and reporting unsafe situations promptly. Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, and manage claims, returns, shrink, and damages. Present and maintain merchandise by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise appropriately, and securing fragile or high‑shrink items. Monitor tire and battery orders daily and assist members with installation appointments, communicate lead‑time changes, order cancellations, and offer alternative installation or tire fitment options. Assist members with tire maintenance and repair services and provide expert member service by greeting, identifying member needs, assisting with purchasing and service decisions, and resolving concerns. Drive sales and service excellence in the TBC by communicating the value of merchandise and services and collaborating with associates to promote member awareness of TBC offerings. Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, using Sam’s Garage to identify waiting members, understand service time requirements, and refer to the TBC Team Lead or technicians to meet service needs. Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, Point‑of‑Sale systems, and selling techniques. Leverage technology to enhance operations and engagement by using digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, improve the service experience, and make real‑time business decisions. Serve as a brand advocate by valuing the member’s experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, developing and influencing team members, and assisting in training. Provide products and services to members in accordance with company policies, complete vehicle service requests and tests, operate TBC equipment safely, handle merchandise and supplies, and maintain accurate documentation. Operate hardware such as cash registers, process purchases, and manage payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges following appropriate procedures for membership and payment types. Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards, implement action plans, and apply the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change and feedback. Point‑of‑Sale: Follow proper procedures to prevent shrink; assist members with payment methods, return policies, and product location; use the cash register efficiently; and report complaints and shrink issues. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00* Actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Health benefits: medical, vision, and dental coverage.
