Job SummaryThe Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater, FL, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.House Attendants will be responsible for assisting the housekeepers as well as banquet personnel with their everyday operational materials, amenities, and mini bar items to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards. House Attendants report to the Housekeeping Manager.Essential FunctionsStrip the rooms in preparation for cleaningAcknowledge guests in all public spaces with a warm and friendly greetingDistribute the necessary items to the assigned housekeepersAssist with banquet function of the hotel to include set up of tables and chairsTake care of any guest special requests for pre-arrival e.g. foam pillows, extra towelsMaintain all hallways to ensure they are free from dust and/or scuffs, windowsills, door frames and base boardsSweep and/or vacuum hallways dailyClean inside the elevators and polish elevator tracks and landingsMaintain closets in order and keep par levels to standardAssist with the maintenance of the mini bar selections to par levelsKeep stairwells and ice machine areas free from debrisFollow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirementsDeep clean on rotational scheduleAssist Front Office Department with VIP arrivalsAssist in the restocking and reorganizing the housekeepers' carts dailyReport any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager paying close attention to hallway areasAssist guest with any special requests with Marriott Guest ExcellenceAbility to communicate with manager on inventory needs e.g. amenities, pillowcases, bed linen, robes, etc.Professional communication while using technologyRespect all guests, team members, and management by maintaining a positive, friendly attitudeAbility to interact with guests and share hotel knowledge using personalization, such as using the guest's nameMaintain guest confidentiality following all Marriott hotel proceduresReport any suspicious activity or unusual items in roomReport any irregular behavior from guests in public areas and/or in roomsAbility to take initiative and handle assignments with limited supervisionFollow all Marriott hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the team member handbookMaintain cleanliness and order of work area such as closets, carts, and housekeeping officeMaintain personal grooming and appearance to be of a professional manner and fit the hotel themeQualification StandardsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or higherPrevious hospitality experience preferredExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to use technology e.g. tablets, iPadsPhysical and Mental DemandsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to squat and bendAbility to communicate clearlyAbility to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlinesAble to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to othersWhat's In It For You?Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance *Paid Time Off *401(k) Plan + Company MatchDiscounted Employee MealsMarriott Hotel discounts worldwideCareer Growth – We promote from within!* For full time employees
