Receptionist

Job Title

Welcomes guests by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries. Directs guests by maintaining department directories and giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges and assisting departments as needed. Responsibilities: Answer phone in a courteous manner Assist anyone who may enter the lobby doors Assist departments with daily paperwork and special projects Log and track appropriate paperwork Scheduling conference rooms Communication on building security Receive candidates for interviews Maintain the appearance of the lobby Open and close the lobby Schedule and receive tours Qualifications: Must have demonstrated leadership abilities 40 wpm typing Detailed work and organizational skills Ability to analyze problems and create solutions Ability to work independently and professionally Ability to work independently and follow through on projects Ability to prioritize and organize Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive areas Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under stress Word processing and spreadsheet skills Sit and intermittent walking Communicate (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone in a tactful and courteous manner Visually read reports, computer screen, etc. Strong customer relation skills for conflict situations General business skills Additional Performs miscellaneous duties for the department (i.e., collating manuals, replacing forms in the file, etc.) Performs other duties as assigned or needed
