Change a Life.Make a Difference Every Day—Starting With One Person.Are you looking for a career where the work you do actually matters?At Omega Day Centers, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections within their communities.As a DSP, you won't simply provide support—you'll help people discover their strengths, pursue their goals, participate in their communities, and experience meaningful moments of growth.If you're compassionate, dependable, patient, and enjoy working with people, you could be a great fit for our team in Manassas, VA.What You'll DoAs a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide person-centered support based on each individual's goals, preferences, abilities, and needs.Support IndependenceHelp individuals develop and strengthen daily living and life skills.Provide assistance with personal care and activities of daily living when needed.Encourage individuals to make choices, express preferences, and build confidence.Support personal goals and celebrate progress along the way.Build Community ConnectionsAccompany individuals on community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and educational experiences.Help individuals develop meaningful social connections and participate in their community.Encourage independence and active participation in everyday activities.Create Meaningful ExperiencesAssist with planning and facilitating engaging recreational, educational, and life-skills activities.Adapt activities based on each individual's interests, strengths, and abilities.Encourage individuals to explore new interests and develop new skills.Work as a TeamCommunicate effectively with families, caregivers, supervisors, and other members of the support team.Follow individualized service plans and company procedures.Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation using company-provided technology.Promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.What We're Looking ForYou don't need to have a perfect background to make a difference. We value compassion, reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.At least two years of relevant work or life experience.Valid driver's license.Reliable personal transportation with current auto insurance.Ability to travel within the community.Ability to successfully complete required background screenings and drug screening.Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic documentation systems.Experience That Can Be HelpfulExperience in any of the following is a plus:Direct Support or disability servicesCaregiving or personal careHuman servicesEducation or tutoringBehavioral healthVocational or employment servicesCommunity-based programsWorking with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesDon't have DSP experience?
