Triages patient messages and responds in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. May assist in arranging tests, managing emergency response services, obtaining information on admitted patients while under radiation oncology treatments, calling in prescriptions, etc. Reviews and prioritizes same day messages.* Referrals: dietician, physical therapist, social worker, home care, Hospice, ostomy nurse, transportation coordinator, Oncology Department (coordination of chemo, blood transfusions, scheduling), financial counselor and ancillary services as indicated.* Consults and collaborates with other members of the health care team to assure patient needs are met and that there is effective and efficient continuity of care.* Will perform all other duties/responsibilities as assigned.**EDUCATION and / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:*** Current license to practice in the State of Illinois as a professional nurse.* Obtains continuing educations credits as required* Maintains BLS certification.* OCN certification highly preferred.**EXPERIENCE:*** Prefer a minimum of 2 year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting but may consider new grad under specific circumstances.* Current experience within oncology highly preferred.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $32.65-49.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package. #J-18808-Ljbffr
