Sales Director

We are seeking a commercially astute Director of Sales to lead strategic account growth, develop a high performing inside sales team, and drive new business across a national freight portfolio. This is a senior leadership role suited to an experienced freight sales professional with a strong background in enterprise account management, team development, and revenue growth. The successful candidate will take ownership of key national relationships across FTL and LTL freight, while helping shape sales strategy, improve team performance, and support broader commercial objectives. Key responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop an inside sales team Set performance expectations, outreach standards, and prospecting activity Manage a portfolio of major national accounts across FTL and LTL freight Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships Support account recovery and retention where service or capacity issues arise Identify and convert growth opportunities within existing accounts Work with leadership on sales planning, targets, and market strategy Monitor pipeline, margin, volume, and activity performance Use market insight to support pricing and account strategy Collaborate with operations and risk teams on account servicing and contract matters Candidate profile 8+ years' experience in freight brokerage or 3PL sales Proven success managing enterprise and Fortune 500-level accounts Experience leading or scaling a sales team Strong knowledge of FTL and LTL freight markets Understanding of carrier compliance and verification processes Track record of both account growth and new business acquisition Strong analytical, reporting, and commercial decision-making skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales leader seeking a broad, high-visibility role with responsibility for strategic accounts, team leadership, and commercial growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
