Registered Nurse

Position: Registered Nurse Location: Wayne, MI Job Id: 824 # of Openings: 1 Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse at Ohioans Home Health, you will assess, plan and implement patient care; educate patients and families on disease processes, procedures and medications; and address various patient needs, including IVs, PICC lines, lab draws, wound care, tracheostomies, G/J tubes, Foley catheters and medication administration. You will: Provide one‑on‑one care to patients in their homes, building long‑term relationships. Monitor medication compliance, IV therapy, injections, and provide necessary education. Maintain compliance with special diets, weight monitoring, and utilization of intravenous nutrition such as TPN and tube feeding. Teach safe use of inhalers, aerosol machines, oxygen, and proper care of all equipment. Offer post‑operative care, monitor chest pain, blood pressure, edema, and educate on cardiac signs. Perform dressing changes, wound vac therapy, assess wound healing and identify signs of infection, and order supplies as needed. Educate patients about chronic diseases such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, renal failure, MS, osteoporosis, etc. Provide pediatric care including PICC care, tracheostomy care, chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, feeding tubes, and medication administration. Requirements One year of acute care experience. CPR certification. Ability to travel for in‑home patient visits. Exceptional time‑management skills.
