Location: Oakland, CA – Hybrid
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Duration: Through 03/31/27
Training: Onsite in Oakland 4–5 days per week during the training period. After training, the onsite schedule will be based on business needs.

About the Role:
This role will provide HR administrative and operational support for the NERC Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) program. You’ll help coordinate background check processing, documentation tracking, compliance workflows, and records management , while partnering with HR, compliance, security teams, vendors, employees, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and track NERC PRA background check requests
• Review background check information for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain accurate records in HR, applicant tracking, relationship management, or case management systems
• Coordinate with HR, compliance, security, vendors, and business partners
• Monitor deadlines, renewals, and completion records
• Communicate required steps and documentation to employees, contractors, and suppliers
• Handle confidential information and provide general administrative support
• Track aging items, identify delays, and support process improvements

Requirements:

• Experience in HR, recruiting, compliance, onboarding, or operations support
• Familiarity with background check processing and documentation tracking
• Experience using HR, applicant tracking, relationship management, or case management systems
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-through
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
• Must currently reside locally in the Bay Area/Oakland area and be able to work onsite during training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting NERC PRA compliance or other regulated access programs
• Background check vendor or contractor onboarding experience
• Experience managing compliance renewals and tracking deadlines
