Duties Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Execute minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment such as electrical, brake, cooling, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, and differentials. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems using test instruments, handheld computers, and pressure gauges. Road‑test vehicles to confirm proper operation after repairs. Identify problems, determine relevant information, and generate and evaluate alternative solutions with sound judgment. Manage parts inventory on company‑issued service trucks, perform periodic reconciliation, and obtain parts from approved vendors. Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections. Work independently, manage daily schedule, and prioritize concurrent tasks to meet productivity goals and standard repair times. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks as required. Document work in Repair Orders using iOS devices and the TRAIT application; upload pictures, parts used, and findings. Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner, complying with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company safety policies. Communicate with customers to assess needs, provide information, and resolve issues. Communicate with management and support teams via email or phone for repair estimates, purchase order numbers, and repair order notes. Requirements High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of related experience; alternative combinations (degree, certification, or 5 years of experience) are acceptable. Minimum of 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment. Possession of necessary hand tools required for job duties. OEM training and certifications preferred. Participation in all company‑required training. Compliance with DOT regulations, including passing a DOT‑regulated background screening and DOT physical (or valid DOT medical card with >4 months remaining). Minimum age of 21, lawful U.S. work authorization, and a valid driver’s license capable of maintaining a Driver Qualification File. Required Certifications (or obtained within 18 months)
