Job Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist Profession: Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Two years in general radiology License: KY Radiology Tech License (can obtain after offer) Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS Must-Have: - General Radiology - Patient Preparation - Patient Education - Clienttion Safety - Patient Positioning Description: The Registered Radiologic Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment as appropriate to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images. These images should meet or exceed departmental, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. Applies professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures. Educates and responds to questions or concerns from patients. Ensures an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, and patient education. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of physical and functional growth and development. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services. Applies radiation safety techniques and devices to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff. Assesses and prepares patients for procedures while educating them and responding to their concerns. Ensures an age-appropriate approach to communication, safety needs, and patient education.
