Second Cook The Second Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food in accordance with recipes and quality standards. Key tasks include portioning, chopping, storing ingredients, and preparing both hot and cold dishes. The Second Cook operates kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, and ensures all food is cooked to the correct temperatures and presented according to established guidelines. Starting Rate: $14.00 per hour Job Requirements Culinary degree or certification preferred. Minimum of 3years of experience in a culinary, food, and beverage, or related professional role, or 1 year of culinary training combined with 2 years of relevant experience. Sushi Knowledge & Experience Proficient in roasting, grilling, broiling, frying, sautéing, and strong knife skills. Food Safety Manager Certification as required by local and state regulations. Efficiently handle multiple tasks under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Working Conditions may include: Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Ability to sit, stand, or drive for extended periods during your shift.
