Line Cook

This isn't your typical line cook position. At KZ Provisioning, you'll prepare performance-focused meals for some of Minnesota's top professional athletes. As the trusted culinary partner for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Lynx, and Minnesota Wild, we help fuel athletes to perform at the highest level through exceptional food.

Founded by James Beard Award-winning chefs Gavin Kaysen and Andrew Zimmern, KZ Provisioning is a performance-driven culinary company transforming the way professional sports teams think about nutrition. Because we serve elite athletes, our schedule follows the rhythm of professional sports, including games, practices, and playoff runs, which means flexibility is a key part of the role.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare fresh, high-quality meals that support the nutritional needs of professional athletes.
• Execute recipes with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
• Stock and organize ingredients and workstations.
• Work closely with chefs and teammates to deliver meals on schedule.
• Uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Pride in producing consistently excellent food.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and kitchen procedures accurately.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 10–12 hour shifts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Additional Requirements

• Must be flexible and able to adapt to last-minute schedule changes based on team travel, game schedules, practices, and playoffs.
• Hours will vary from week to week and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on team needs.
• Schedule is driven by the professional sports calendar, so flexibility and reliability are essential.
• Written and spoken English proficiency.

Benefits and Compensation

• Paid Time Off (PTO), in accordance with Minnesota's Earned Sick and Safe Time law, is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked and is available for use as soon as it is accrued.
• Employer-subsidized health, dental, accident, life, and short term disability insurance plans are available to Full-Time employees (30+ hours worked per week) after 90 days of employment.
• A 401(k) retirement plan with company matching is available to Full-Time employees after one year of service and 1,000 hours worked and to Part-Time employees after two consecutive years of service and at least 500 hours worked per year.
